On a very warm day, we held our sports day. Kingfishers and Woodpeckers in the morning and Swans and Owls in the afternoon. A great day was had by all – with the Green Otters being the winners! Well done to all the children and thank you to everyone who helped on the day.
On Wednesday 22nd June, the Eco-Council took a trip to Felixstowe beach and the Felixstowe recycling centre. Kingfishers Class were very excited as they had received a very important letter. Miss Jones opened the envelope and read the letter from Richenda Elton (Lady in Waiting) who was writing on behalf of the Queen. The letter was thanking the children for sending congratulations cards for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
On Tuesday 14th June, our year 6 children had the opportunity of sailing at Neptune Sailing School, based at Woolverstone Marina. This year, the gymnastics festival was held virtually. These children worked with Mrs Allum on some floor and apparatus routines. These were then recorded and sent for judging. Our youngest children came first in their age category and the older teams both came third. Well done children and thank you, Mrs Allum.
On Friday 6th May, 19 children from the Owls and Swans class joined approximately 8000 other children for the Young Voices concert at the O2 in London.
