As part of our DT, this half term the Owls class have been designing and making kites. We had to think about lots of different things, including shape and structure. We also had to investigate which materials were best to use, as well as how to make our kites attractive. On the last day of term, we had a kite festival, where we tested our kites out on the school field. (Luckily, it was windy!) Merits were given for the best flyers as well as the most attractive kites. The children really enjoyed the challenge of kite making, and were proud of their end results.
