World Bee Day Forest Schools

The children had their ‘Forest Fun’ session.. The children sat in the wooden stump circle and Miss Jones explained to the children they were going to play the bee pollen game. The aim of the game was for each nest to collect as much pollen as possible before the pollen runs out. Miss Jones explained it was recently World Bee Day and it is celebrated so the public can help bees by planting bee friendly plants in their gardens. Miss Jones told the children they would be focusing on bees during their forest fun session. Miss Jones explained the activities which were on offer and the children got busy – den building, potion making, bee hotel, bee peg, bee mobile, bee colouring and bee nectar. The children also helped to create a bee garden. Great work Kingfishers.
