Stratford St Mary School works with trusted partners to provide ‘wrap around’ care from 7.30am until 5.30pm in an environment which is familiar and safe for the children and parents needing to use this facility.
Start Active Breakfast Club
Working in collaboration with Premier Sport, the school hosts a ‘Start Active’ Club. The Start Active club runs each morning from 7.30am until the start of the school day.
The coaches provide a range of activities which engage the children’s minds and prepare them for the day ahead. In addition to this, the ‘Start Active’ club teaches a range of valuable skills which include: co-ordination, balance, agility and flexibility, communication skills, problem solving skills and tactics. The children are also provided with a snack of juice and toast. Bookings can be made in advance or paid for on the day.
After School Care
Mrs Jarrett (an ex primary school teacher) runs the after school club from 3.15pm-5.15pm each day. The children are collected from their classes and taken to the school hall. After a drink, snack and a chat about the day, they are able to choose from a variety of activities. The activities include board games, art and crafts, colouring, drawing, help with homework, lego, watching a DVD and weather (and light) permitting being outside.
Mrs Jarrett runs camps throughout the holidays at the school.
