The children in Kingfishers class enjoyed a trip to Colchester Zoo. They took part in a wonderful Christmas educational experience at Colchester Zoo today! The children were greeted by a festive elf called Boots. She was new at the zoo and needed help to learn all about reindeers and she needed the children’s help to work it out. The children went on a festive walk through the fairy walk way to the reindeers. The children observed real reindeers up close. The children collected bells for one of the reindeer’s harnesses. Father Christmas joined the children to see how much they knew about one of his favourite winter animals and he was able to use his Christmas magic to put the bells back on the harness. Father Christmas gave each child a lovely gift to remember their experience. The children enjoyed walking around the zoo looking at the other animals. The children also enjoyed going on the train. A lovely day! The children were all well behaved. Well done Kingfishers. Thank you to all the adults who helped – we hope you enjoyed it!
