Forest Fun – Bees

The children enjoyed another ‘Forest Fun’ session with Mrs Clark and Mrs Martin. The children got changed into their outside clothes and headed out to the Forest Fun area. The children were joined by the September 2023 Reception children and they accessed all areas of the wildlife area. The session focused on Bees and the children discussed bees with Mrs. Martin. They used paint to make bee pictures, cut out bees and stuck them together, they made wooden bees using the palm drill and they made pine cone bees wrapping wool on pine cones. The children also had fun in the mud kitchen, in the sand, on the water wall, in the hammock and making dens. Mrs Clark read the children a story about a greedy bee and all of the children sat on a tree stump listening carefully. The children were very kind to the ‘new children’, playing with them and making sure that they were ok. Well done Kingfishers!
