The JRSOs challenged the children, parents and staff were all asked to join in ‘Walk to School Week’ so we could have a car free zone in Strickmere. They were reminded of the benefits of walking to school: it keeps us healthy and it helps to protect the environment. In the classroom, teachers displayed a wall chart which showed the class’ participation in Walk to School Week. Pupils were encouraged to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot to school every day of the week, earning stickers as they went along. The children also received an activity book with different activities to complete each day.
