In Forest School this week, we used toilet roll holders to create our own mini bird feeders. We smothered out toilet roll in lard, then rolled them in the oats and seeds to cover all the lard up. Some of us added cocktail sticks so the birds can land on our feeders. Once finished, we hung them up on branches around the forest school area. Some of the other activities we had this week were painting, using the mud kitchen and a whole class competition on which pair could create the best hanging tree decoration made from natural foraged resources.
