On Tuesday 14th March, it was the turn of the Woodpeckers to share their learning with the rest of the school and parents, The children sang about the basic needs of animals including humans (water, air, shelter and food) to show off their Science learning. Next, they showcased their newspaper reports which were based on their learning about George Stevenson and The Rainhill Trials of 1829. All children held up their newspaper reports and some shared their writing by reading sections out loud. The children shared their knowledge of steam power before they finally got to do the bit they’d been most excited about…singing the life cycle of a tiger to a well-known song. The children tried really hard and had lovely clear voices. I was very proud of them. Well done everybody!
