In Science, the Owls are learning about Ancient Greek thinkers and how they have contributed to our modern understanding of science. On Wednesday, we learnt about how Archimedes invented the Archimedes’ Screw – a device that transports water from lower to higher ground. His ideas influenced the design of modern positive displacement pumps. The children made and tested their own Archimedes’ Screws.
