During forest Fun, the children completed a Scavenger Hunt. They searched for insects and different types of wildlife. When they had found them, they ticked them off and did 10 star jumps! The children also went pond dipping. They had a tick list to see what insects and wildlife they could see in the pond. They searched for insects in the pond by carefully scooping their net from side to side to see what they could gather from the pond. They put some water from the pond in a tray and managed to find a water boatman, some pond snails and a hoglouse . They followed instructions and took great care near the pond to keep themselves safe, remembering also to be aware of the pond life and to dip their net in slowly and gently so as not to frighten anything.
