Today we have been learning about mountains in India and their mountain ranges; we learnt that there are 5 types of mountains and created a catchy rhyme to help memorise these. We focused on fold mountains and plateau mountains. To make our learning even more interesting and creative we built our own mountain ranges in pairs using mud! The children chose which type of mountain they wanted to create and decorated it accordingly, for example plateau mountains had growth of trees, grass and fold mountains were topped with snow and ice.
