During the Forest Fun session the children were given the task of creating a snowflake using natural materials. They discussed what snowflakes looked like, remembering that they have 6 points and that they are translucent. They listened to what they were going to be doing and then put their wellies on ready to head outside. They worked in partners and explored the field looking for sticks, flowers, grass and leaves which they could used for their snowflake. They worked together to create their snowflake, talking to each other about what should go where. Once they had finished they took at look at each other’s snowflakes and then decided whether they wanted to add to their design.
