This half term the children in Woodpeckers have been learning about the story of ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’ by Drew Daywalt. The children had a shock when they came into school on Monday 15th May to find that the chairs had gone on strike! The chairs had written the children a letter to explain why they had gone on strike and the children had to write a letter to persuade the chairs to come back. Meanwhile, the children had to find other ways to do their work instead of sitting on a chair! Luckily, the chairs returned after lunch on the premise that the children will continue with their persuasive letters tomorrow! Good persuasion skills Woodpeckers!
