Today the children and teachers dressed up as their favourite book character to celebrate World Book Day. The children enjoyed a morning of activities based on different books. The children worked in their house groups and visited each classroom where the teacher provided them with exciting activities. With Mr Bassett the children used the iPad to make a video about their favourite book. Mrs Marshall asked the children to create their own Mr Men or Little Miss. Miss Kluge’s activity was based on Drama and the children worked in groups creating a story using the characters they had dressed up as. Miss Jones asked the children to pretend they were Bert from Mary Poppins and they drew a scene based on their character. The children enjoyed working in their house groups and participating in the activities the teachers had provided.
