The children celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book character. The children joined everyone in the hall to see everyone’s costumes and they found out the winners of the book cover competition. The winners were awarded a £5 gift to spend at Dial Lane Bookshop. The children also took part in different activities related to reading during the day. In the afternoon, family members were welcomed into the school to share stories. A big ‘thank you’ to all the adults for coming into school and reading stories to the children. After school, the children took part in a ‘book swap’. We hope you enjoy reading your new books!
