The children in Kingfishers Class worked together to make bread. The Year One children shared their instructions they had written for making bread with the Reception children. The children listened to the instructions and got busy making the bread. They thought about safety rules – for example being careful with the knife and hygiene rules for example washing hands, having hair tied up, no touching hair. The children weighed out the ingredients, helped to sieve the flour, mixed the ingredients and kneaded the dough. The children waited for the dough to rise and then they knocked it back and made it into a loaf of bread and Sarah cooked the bread for them. The children enjoyed tasting the bread!
