The children looked at a Powerpoint all about British Birds. The children were able to identify the birds and learnt interesting facts about them. The children were told they were going to take part in the RSPB Birdwatch (next week). The children thought about how they could attract the birds to the wildlife area. The children were very excited as they found out they were going to make bird feeders using pipe cleaners and Cheerios. The children got busy threading the Cheerios on the pipe cleaners – there was lots of concentration and excitement. The children fixed the ends together and shaped the pipe cleaners. When they were finished, the children went outside and found a suitable place to hang their bird feeder. Let’s hope the birds visit the wildlife area and enjoy their food.
