The children in Kingfishers Class have been learning about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night. The children were introduced to Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot in History.
The children learnt key facts about Guy Fawkes and about his involvement in the Gunpowder plot. The children developed their awareness of the past by making comparisons between the items that Guy Fawkes may have used in the early 17th century compared to the present day. They were asked to think about what happened after the Gunpowder Plot was uncovered. The children were asked to design a wanted poster for Thomas Percy, based upon the King’s Declaration of 1605. The Reception children created some lovely firework displays using a salad spinner. They added a bit of glitter to make their displays sparkle! Great work Kingfishers.
