Flower Sculpture

Thie children in Kingfishers Class became ‘artists’ and thought about the question – Can we make a 3D sculpture? The children recapped over the artist Andy Goldsworthy and his work. The children were asked to create a 3D sculpture made from natural materials like Andy Goldsworthy. The children planned their work by arranging the flowers (petals and leaves) into a pattern. The children placed the natural materials on top of the glue very carefully trying hard to copy their pattern in a shallow tray which had a layer of PVA glue in the bottom. The children were told that they will have to wait for the PVA glue to dry so that it becomes translucent/transparent. They are very excited to see their 3D sculpture! Great work Kingfishers.
