Forest Schools

The children enjoyed their ‘Forest Schools’ session with Mrs Martin and Miss Jones. The children got changed into their outside clothes and headed out to the Forest Fun area and sat on a log in the log circle. Mrs Martin welcomed the children into the Forest Area and went over the Forest School rules. Mrs Martin told the children that when they hear the owl hooting sound they needed to stop. Mrs Martin told the children they were going to explore the forest school area. First they played woolly worms. They worked together in their group to collect four different coloured worms. Mrs Martin showed the children around the area and explained the different activities. The children were able to access the natural items table, quiet area, sand play, mud kitchen, dens and water play. The children also found lots of frogs jumping in the long grass. At the end of the session the children took it in turns to tell their friends what they had enjoyed during their forest school session. So much fun!
