It was the turn of the Kingfishers to take part in their first ever assembly. The children told the audience about the work they had done this half term on the topic of ‘All About Me’. They also talked about Autumn, they showed their pictures of Autumn trees and sang two rhymes about Autumn. The children were very proud of their work and were confident to talk about it. Miss Jones presented the children with individual certificates focusing on specific areas the children had achieved. The children were fantastic and really enjoyed taking part in their first assembly (there were also a few tears from the parents). Well Done Kingfishers’.
I happened to be in the school for the afternoon and it was good to see the growing confidence of the Kingfisher girls and boys. After only a few weeks, they are really showing that they are part of the Stratford St Mary Primary School family.
Thank you – we all really enjoy the assemblies.
Fantastic work from the Kingfishers. Emotional and very proud parents.
We were very proud of them too.
