Money Week

This week the children have taken part in ‘My Money Week’ which is a national activity week for primary and secondary schools across the UK. The aim of the week was to increase the quality and quantity of financial education for all young children across the UK. The children have enjoyed a range of money activities covering all areas of the curriculum.  The children were also given £5 per class from the Young Enterprise in partnership with Virgin to encourage them to do something enterprising to grow their money. The children have been researching and producing items to sell on Friday 15th July. The children will then decided how they would like to spend any profit made. We also had visits from Mrs Carney, Mrs Martin, Mrs Johns and Mrs Stone who came to talk to the children about their jobs working with money.  A big Thank you to our visitors. We have had a lovely week learning about money and we are looking forward to selling out products.
