Recently, the Sports Council met to think of ideas as to how we could improve Sport and PE within the school. The children had plenty of ideas, with the most popular being the need for a lunchtime sports club. The Sports Council then decided which sports to offer the children at lunchtime, created a questionnaire for all children in the school to complete and then hand back in to the Council.
Some of the Sports Council recently met again to count up the votes to find the most popular sports for KS1 and KS2. The result was clear – dodgeball was the most requested sport in both KS1 and KS2 and will therefore be available this half term, run by the Sports Council children and Play Leaders.
KS1 Dodgeball Club will run on a Tuesday between 12.30 – 12.55. KS2 Dodgeball club will run on a Wednesday between 12.30 – 12.55. The club is free and will take place outside on the playground. If the children wish to take part, they must sign in with the Sports Council upon arrival.
