10 children from the Owls and Swans class joined approximately 650 other Suffolk school children for an afternoon of Athletic events at Northgate High School. Our chosen country for the day was New Zealand; there was a samba band, opening ceremony (where the children waved their flags), a speech from a Paralympian as well as four events; 600m, sprint run, long jump and ‘howler’ throw. The sun was shining and so were our faces which were donned with ‘all black’ face paints.
