Three Little Pigs

The children joined Mrs Martin for another Forest School session with Miss Jones and Miss Bailey. The children got changed into their outside clothes and headed out to the Forest School area. This half term the sessions will focus on the farm. Today the children enjoyed learning about pigs. The children listened to the story of the three little pigs. Mrs Martin then talked about hogs and how they live. Before taking part in the activities, Mrs Martin explained that we needed to be careful of the wild flowers and we saw how the plants had grown over the Easter holidays. The children then took part in building the three houses. The first group built a house of bricks, the second a house of straw and the third a house of sticks. The wolf then visited each house and tried to blow the house down! Then the children were free to try different activities. The children were able to use the resources to retell the story of the three little pigs and were able to create their own pigs. Great work Kingfishers.
