Tiger Tea Party

Kingfisher Class enjoyed a day full of activities based on the story of ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. The children worked in groups to retell the story using puppets and masks. The children worked in pairs to work out how much Sophie’s mum had spent on the shopping after the tiger had been to tea. The children had to use their knowledge of counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s to solve the shopping list problem. At lunchtime the children were joined by the new children starting school in September, they enjoyed a lunch picnic lunch provided by Rachel the school cook. The children also enjoyed a lovely tiger cupcake. After lunch the children worked in pairs and went for a tiger hunt. They also enjoyed making a tiger and colouring in pictures. To finish the day the children worked in groups to collect objects for a tea party. Great work Kingfishers.
