Tricky Sculptures

Recently in DT,  the Woodpeckers have been learning about the work of Jill Townsley. They looked at the different sculptures she made using everyday materials and had a go at using the same materials to build their own. They learnt how Jill Townsley used the same items repetitively to create different installations. The children had to work together using plastic spoons and rubber bands to make a standing sculpture. The children had to use team work and a growth mindset to get their spoons to stand and stay standing up. They tried really hard and were very pleased with themselves when they managed to make their sculpture stand up on its own. Well done Woodpeckers!
