Woodpeckers Class Assembly

Friday 22nd March was the turn of The Woodpeckers to share their work from this half term. They showed off their knowledge of time to the nearest 5 minutes by getting the audience to challenge them to show a specific time on their clocks. They told everybody about their ‘trip’ to Kenya and shared their Kenyan facts. Some children read their marvellous monster similes and others read parts from their explanation texts on the life cycle of a chicken. The children sang a song (which they had composed as a class!) to the tune of ‘The Chicken Dance’ and made everybody giggle with their squawks! They also shared some brilliant self-portraits and sang a call and respond song about the 4 basic needs of animals and humans. Fantastic work Woodpeckers, Well done!
