Mexican Cooking in the Swans

This week the Swans have studied Mexican cuisine as part of their ‘Global Food’ DT topic. They learnt about foods from Mexico and yesterday they made Nachos with Miss Kluge. The children followed a recipe to make their own guacamole and salsa for their nachos. The children learnt vegetable preparation skills such as ‘the bridge method’ and ‘the claw’ method and chopped, diced, sliced, scooped, mashed and grated their ingredients to produce tasty toppings for their nachos! Well done Swans!
