Make the Classroom Disappear – The Great fire of London

The children in Kingfishers Class took part in ‘The Great Fire of London’ workshop. The children met Christopher and and listened to the story of ‘The Great Fire of London’. They helped to retell the story by putting out the scenery and being different characters. The children took it in turns to explore and play with items representing The Great Fire of London- tea set, burnt materials, gunpowder (pretend), soup ingredients, spices, Samuel Pepys Diary and Thomas Farriner and his Wife’s hat. The children were also challenged to build houses and make a scene from the Great Fire of London. The children were all engaged and had a great morning! Well done Kingfishers!
