On Wednesday 25th February, the Year 5s took part in a Photo Day. They went outside to create their own natural images and photographed them with professional cameras. They then developed their own cyanotype prints. The children really enjoyed the day and spoke excitedly about their learning.

The children welcomed the Night Owls team into school. The children watched the Bird of Prey demonstration which included a talk and flying display. The children also had the opportunity to have their photograph taken holding the beautiful Barn Owl Dottie. The children listened very well and enjoyed the display.
For one of our weekly PE sessions this half term, we are being taught street dance by Sophie Dilworth from CDC Dance. Our first session concentrated on hip hop moves and all the children were brilliant!
We had a wonderful workshop delivered by Harper’s mum this week; linking in with our geography topic. Does the River always meet the Sea? We learnt lots about the causes of flooding and the dangers flooding can pose.
On Friday 5th December, we were very pleased to welcome the ‘Sweeting Swing Band’ into the school. Today, two coaches from Hadleigh Rugby Club came to lead us in the first of three rugby sessions. The girls and boys were taught separately. They practised passing and tactics. They were all amazing!
