I had the pleasure of teaching Year 5 today! We went outside and deadheaded the daffodils and used the stems to create different types of angles: acute, obtuse and right angles. It was so lovely being able to teach maths outside in the sunshine!
Some of the Year 6 children have been enjoying the 4x4s challenge. They had to make the numbers 1-50 using only the digit 4 (4 times). In order to complete this challenge, some KS3 Maths knowledge was needed so this really extended their problem solving skills.
This term we have been focusing on observational drawings, the children have created lots of beautiful art work! To finish our unit off today the children got to use their imagination to create a ‘magical plant’!
The children welcomed the Wolsey Theatre Company in to school as they performed the play Grandad Anansi. It was absolutely brilliant! The children listened to the story and songs as the story was acted out. The children really enjoyed the play.
