The Swans had a fantastic trip to Ipswich Museum where they took part in activities linked to life in WW2. After that, we went to ‘The Shed’ for an evacuee lunch! Whilst we were there, the photographer from the Ipswich Star came and took lots of lovely photos which should appear in an article later on this week. The newspaper were really impressed to hear how we have linked our History topic to our village so that the children could discover what Stratford St Mary was like during WW2. The highlight of this topic was meeting the elderly people in the village who shared their own stories of life during the war. We have really enjoyed this topic this term!
