World Book Day

Today the children and staff celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed as their favourite book character. The day started with a parade in the playground, looking at the different costumes and characters. The children then took part in different activities in their house groups.

Miss Jones provided an activity based on Maths and penguins. Children solved sums which linked to letters and they had to rearrange the letters to spell a word. Miss Kluge dressed as Snow White and the children acted out their own endings to stories. Mr Bassett was the Wolf disguised as Grandma from Little Red Riding Hood. The children had to work as a team to collect cones while following a trail on the apparatus. Mrs Marshall was the Granny from George’s Marvellous Medicine and the children had the opportunity to work with each other to create potions using different ingredients. The children and staff had a great morning with lots of fun.
