Anti-Bullying Week

This week is Anti-Bullying week and the children have been learning about what ‘bullying’ is and what can be done about it .  We also talked about ‘friendship’ and how important this is in our school and about being a friend to others.

The Anti-bullying ambassadors welcomed the parents on Tuesday afternoon for the Parents forum where they invited them to take part in some activities and posed some questions to them. The minutes of that meeting can be found on the Parent forum section of the website.

Wednesday afternoon saw the children work in their house groups to talk about bullying and what makes a good friend. The older children worked with the younger ones and they all drew around their hands and wrote some words about friendship in the middle.  This was made into the ‘circle of friendship’, with each colour representing a different house group, which is now in hall for all to see.
