On Wednesday 30th November, a group of Year 4 & 5 children took part in a Rugby Festival at East Bergholt High School. On Thursday 24th November a team from Swans class took part in a Tag Rugby Festival at Ipswich Rugby club. They did very well on what was a very cold afternoon; winning 3 games out of 5.
This week was the turn of the Woodpeckers to showcase their work from this half term. Friday 11th November saw Swans take the first assembly of the half term; they shared some of their amazing ‘flashback’ stories, some of their Mayan history facts and numbers and also explained their multiplication maths work. Well done Swans, you spoke clearly and confidently.
Some of our Swans class enjoyed a 2 day ‘bikeabiity’ course. They started by learning some skills in the safety of the school playground before taking their bikes onto the local roads. They are now proficient at riding their bikes safely! Well done children!
On Wednesday 12th October, some of the Swans class took part in a Crumble Bot competition at BT. The children took part in a series of challenges which saw them compete against 31 other primary schools. Four children took part in a recent Table Tennis competition. They all played really well and managed a secure a place in the county final!! Well done boys !
Thursday saw Stratford St Mary host sports day. All the children took part in various events; throwing, jumping, sprinting and a fun run. The JRSOs were interviewed by Radio Suffolk, they talked proudly about what they had done to promote road safety within school. The JRSOs were asked lots of questions which they answered confidently; Mrs Bilner and Miss Jones were also interviewed.
