Today we practiced Pentatonic Scales! We have been exploring the musical sounds of Chinese New Year, here are some of our own.        

So far this half term, in Woodpeckers class, we have looked at ballads in music. We know that ballads are songs that tell a story and that they have lyrics, a chorus and an instrumental part. So far, our favourite song is Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years!

This week, the Owls are learning about samba music. Today they got the chance to experiment with some samba-style instruments. Later in the week, we hope to perform a samba batucada as a group.

On Wednesday 4th December, children from the Owls and Swans class travelled to London.  The first stop was the National Gallery and then to the Lyceum Theatre to watch The Lion King Musical. Thank you to all the adults who accompanied us on the trip.  A great day was had by all.
