After school some of the Year One and Two children joined Miss Jones for games club. The children enjoyed playing different games. It was lovely to see the children taking turns and playing the games according to the rules.

Wednesday 18th July saw the Key Stage 2 performance of Aladdin Trouble. Amazing acting, singing, dancing and narrating was thoroughly enjoyed by the audiences. We certainly have talented children at Stratford St Mary! A big thank you to all those that helped put on this fantastic performance.

The Year One children stayed for the Phonics Club after school to practise their phonics skills. The children had fun using their phonic knowledge to play games, reading real and nonsense words. Great work Kingfishers.
During Cookery Club this week the children baked buns. The children cracked the eggs and mixed the ingredients together. The children watched the buns cook in the cupcake machines. The children enjoyed decorating their buns using icing and sprinkles. Well done chefs, lets hope they taste as good as they smelt.
In Cookery Club this week, the chefs made cheese swirls. They sprinkled cheese on to puff pastry and rolled them into a snail shape. During Cookery Club this week the children enjoyed making mini muffin pizzas. They were able to spread the tomato puree with a knife, grate the cheese and safely cut the ham, olives, pineapple and pepperoni. The children were able to follow instructions carefully and work safely. Well done chefs, great pizzas.
On Thursday after school children from Kingfishers and Woodpeckers Class joined Miss Jones and Mrs Jones for Cookery Club . The children carefully used a knife to cut different types of fruit to make a fruit salad. The children enjoyed making their fruit salad and we hope they enjoyed eating it!
