The rain didn’t stop us, we still had fun at scooter club! We practised crossing the road using the zebra crossing. We practised weaving in and out of cones pretending we were on our scooters. We did brave the rain for a while and had a go on our scooters. Well done Kingfishers.
On Wednesday 22nd May the children and staff wore their favourite footwear to school and donated £1 to our Elmer project. There was a range of different footwear from flashing trainers to monster slippers. We raised £80. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated money.
During the week of the 20th of May the children were encouraged to walk to school. The teachers provided walking buses form each end of Strickmere, which meant less cars outside the school gates. Thank you to everyone who participated in walk to school week (even in the rain).
During Road Safety Week the children, parents and staff put on their walking shoes and participated in Walk to School week, even in the wet weather. The children and Staff took part in wear your favourite footwear to school day on Tuesday 22nd May. There were lots of different footwear from trainers to slippers. The children and staff donated £1 to support the event. We raised over £60 for our Action Aid child. Thank you to everyone for supporting the event.
