Four children from the Owls class represented our school at the recent mini-tennis competition held at East Bergholt High School. Each child had 3 singles matches and some doubles matches too. The children played well and came away with the Bronze certificate.

Just look at how far the children have come on with their skiing.  After only two half terms of lessons they have the confidence to ski from the top of the big slope. As you can see have so much fun doing it.

The children in Kingfisher Class hosted the assembly this week and told the parents and the rest of the school what they had learnt about Spring. 7 children from the Swans class were recently involved in a 2-day Bikeability course. They learnt some basic manoeuvres and also how to ride their bike safely on the road, showed an awareness of potential hazards and also demonstrated a basic understanding of the Highway Code. All children passed their Level 2 award. Well done children!

Following on from our Christingle Service in December, some of our children collected money  for ‘The Children’s Society’.  One of the girls sold some of her own toys to raise money – well done and thank you for your generosity.

This week Kingfisher Class have been writing letters to Father Christmas. The Children were able to use their phonic knowledge,  word mats and dictionaries to help them spell words. On Friday 27th November the JRSOs held a Brightness Day.  The children and staff came to school in their brightest clothes and raised money for ‘Children in Need’. There were winners from each class including Miss Kluge. There were also winners of the competitions that the JRSO’s arranged.
