Owls
On Friday 10th March, it was once again the Owls Class Assembly. The children read out some of their writing, and demonstrated their knowledge of Maths, Science and Geography. As always, we were very proud of all the children, and would like to thank all the parents and relatives that attended.

It was the turn of the Owls, on Friday 27th January, to share their work to parents and other children in the school. They read stories about Rama and Sita, talked about the dodgeball competition, received certificates and also shared their science work based on electricity.

On Thursday, Mrs Marshall and Mrs Bilner (and several parents) accompanied 17 children to the O2 in London. On Friday, we had a PE Enrichment day. Mr Ross came in and taught the children different skills, games, tactics and rules of American Football. Due to the snowy weather, this had to take place in the school hall, however, lots of learning happened and a lot of fun was had by all!

Thursday afternoon saw the school visit the New Wolsey theatre to watch Sinbad the Sailor Rock n Roll Panto. The children and accompanying adults, listened to the songs and talented musicians and laughed at the jokes. Everyone was very well behaved and we all had a great time.

Over the past couple of weeks, all the children have been set homework to create a Christmas decoration/ picture/ card to give to the patients at West Suffolk Hospital to cheer them up during their stay over the Christmas period. On Wednesday 30th November, a group of Year 4 & 5 children took part in a Rugby Festival at East Bergholt High School. Monday 31st October saw 9 children join us for the very first day of the Start Active Breakfast Club being run by Premier Sport. The children spent their time on some brain gym activities before tucking into a snack of orange juice & toast!

On Friday, all the classes were involved in an Enrichment Day. Mr Ross from Premier Sport taught the children some games which included ‘blindfolded’ ball games, boccia as well as ‘floor volleyball’ involving balloons. The children all enjoyed the activities and learnt how to use different skills and tactics.
