In Science, the Owls were learning about mixtures and how to separate them. Each group was given a bowl of different substances mixed together and had to race to separate them all out using sieving, filtering, evaporating and magnets. There was lots of great scientific discussion and hands on learning, and plenty of healthy competition!

In forest fun this week the children had the opportunity to do den building, potion making, colouring, mud kitchen and gardening. The children also learned how to use a hammer correctly to hammer a nail in a piece of wood. Well done Kingfishers.

The Swans have been learning about life as an evacuee. They went into role as a child who had been evacuated from the city to the countryside and shared their experience in an interview. We found out that not all evacuees had a good time!
