Owls
July 2024, saw the Year 4, 5 & 6s perform ‘Matilda the Musical’ to a packed school hall. The children acted, sang, performed and wowed the audience with their amazing talents! Here are a selection of photos.
In Art, the Owls looked at the work of the sculptor Magdalene Odundo and how she prepared for her sculptors by drawing in 2D but making it look 3D. We had to draw large shapes, using our whole arm. We used lots of overlapping curved lines in different colours to make our work look 3D.
On Wednesday 22nd May, Owls class had an inter-house dodgeball tournament. The children played well and very competitively and the Otters were the eventual winners.
On Wednesday 17th April, Years 3, 4 and 5 attended the Schools’ Farm and Country Show at Trinity Park in Ipswich. On Friday 19th January, 20 children from Owls and Swans joined nearly 8,000 children from around the country, at the O2 arena, to take part in the Young Voices concert.
