Miss Jones made an Easter display for the residents at BlackBrook Residential Home with the Easter Eggs the children had coloured. Mrs Cousins will deliver the Easter cards the children have made to the older residents in the village. Well done Kingfishers.

Thank you for your generosity towards this year’s poppy appeal – £214.12 was raised by the school.

On Friday 18th October, we held our Harvest Assembly in the school hall. The children sang songs and read some beautiful poems. We also collected some non-perishable goods which will donated to the Colchester Food Bank. Thank you for your generosity.

Children were invited to take part in the ELSA study run by researchers at the University of Birmingham. The ELSA study is a screening programme for children, aged 3-13 years to find out their risk of getting type 1 diabetes.

On Friday 4th October, the PTA organised a coffee morning and cake sale with the proceeds going to the McMillan Cancer Support charity. Thank you for your generosity – an amazing £219 was raised.

The JRSOs joined the Community Speed Check Team to carry out their weekly speed checks in the village. The Community Speed Check Team carry out the checks in different locations around the village encouraging drivers to drive carefully and to keep to the speed limits.

The children in Kingfishers Class worked together to create a class Christmas display for the residents at Blackbrook House care home for the residents, to brighten up their Christmas. Great teamwork Kingfishers!

All the children helped to make a Stratford St Mary Primary School Christmas Tree for the Church’s Christmas Tree Festival.
