In September 2022 we were presented with our Modeshift Stars Education, Bronze Award, Good Travel Plan 2022. The scheme recognises schools, businesses and other organisations that have shown excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable and active travel. Great work JRSOs.
The children were asked to take part in the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel 2023 the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge. The challenge ran from 20-31 March. On Friday 30th September, we welcomed parents and friends of the school to our Harvest Assembly. The children shared poems, songs and information about Harvest Around the World. Thank you for all the generous donations which will be forwarded on to a local Food Bank.

A big thank you to everyone who helped us to collect the tokens from Morrisons part of the ‘It’s Good to Grow’ scheme. We collected 2286 tokens. We are using the tokens to purchase heated propagators. We look forward to using them to help us grow lots of plants. Thank you again.

During this lockdown the children have written messages of kindness to the local nursing home. The children wanted them to know we are still thinking of them. They each wrote a personal message on a heart to bring them some cheer.
The Kingfishers Class worked together to create a class Christmas bauble. It looked great and the children coloured in their section very carefully. Miss Cousins stuck the all the pieces together.
