On Thursday 5th October, we held a Harvest Assembly in the school. Families were incredibly generous and brought in some non-perishable items which were sent onto the Colchester Food Bank. Thank you all so much for the contributions. The Food Bank was incredibly grateful for the 58.80kg of items donated.

In September 2022 we were presented with our Modeshift Stars Education, Bronze Award, Good Travel Plan 2022. The scheme recognises schools, businesses and other organisations that have shown excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable and active travel. Great work JRSOs.
The children were asked to take part in the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel 2023 the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge. The challenge ran from 20-31 March. A big thank you to everyone who helped us to collect the tokens from Morrisons part of the ‘It’s Good to Grow’ scheme. We collected 2286 tokens. We are using the tokens to purchase heated propagators. We look forward to using them to help us grow lots of plants. Thank you again.
