On Friday 30th September, we welcomed parents and friends of the school to our Harvest Assembly. The children shared poems, songs and information about Harvest Around the World. Thank you for all the generous donations which will be forwarded on to a local Food Bank.
On a very warm day, we held our sports day. Kingfishers and Woodpeckers in the morning and Swans and Owls in the afternoon. A great day was had by all – with the Green Otters being the winners! Well done to all the children and thank you to everyone who helped on the day.
The Kingfishers performed their first assembly of the school year. The children were confident to stand up and talk to the audience. The children retold the story of ‘Farmer Duck’ and sang ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’. A great assembly Kingfishers,
The children have been enjoying the new books they received from the ‘Books for Schools’ campaign in the Evening Star and East Anglian newspapers. Thank you again for collecting the tokens and supporting us.
The children created their own toy museum. The children wrote descriptions about their toys, wrote labels and created posters which they displayed in their museum. A big thank you to everyone who helped us to collect the tokens from Morrisons part of the ‘It’s Good to Grow’ scheme. We collected 2286 tokens. We are using the tokens to purchase heated propagators. We look forward to using them to help us grow lots of plants. Thank you again.

We all know it has been different this year, but we wanted to make it as normal as possible. So the children in Kingfishers Class performed ‘We’re Going on a Baby Hunt’. The children dressed up and had a fantastic time performing it! The parents loved it!
To end our dinosaur topic, the children in Kingfishers Class showed their grown ups their dinosaur models, clay fossils and dinosaur moving pictures. They were very excited and were able to explain what they had been learning about in class this half term. Well done Kingfishers!
We didn’t collect enough Book for Schools tokens but The Sun newspaper has acknowledged us as a small school and we have been lucky enough to receive a lovely box of new books worth £600. The children have been enjoying reading the new books. Thank you again for collecting the tokens and supporting us.
