On Friday afternoon, we welcomed parents and carers to join us for our Harvest assembly. All the classes shared readings, songs, poems and prayers. Thank you for all the donations of food goods which will be donated to the Colchester Food Bank.
On Wednesday 12th October, some of the Swans class took part in a Crumble Bot competition at BT. The children took part in a series of challenges which saw them compete against 31 other primary schools. On Friday, all the classes were involved in an Enrichment Day. Mr Ross from Premier Sport taught the children some games which included ‘blindfolded’ ball games, boccia as well as ‘floor volleyball’ involving balloons. The children all enjoyed the activities and learnt how to use different skills and tactics.

The School Council met with Mrs Carney to discuss the designs for the new village playground. They were shown two designs and were given the opportunity to say which one they liked the best and why. On Friday 30th September, the children had the opportunity of wearing denim to school. We raised £76.00 as a result which will be sent off to the charity. Thank you for your support.

Swans class had the opportunity to visit Pizza Express in Colchester. They learnt about the history of Pizza Express restaurants, what different ingredients are used to make a pizza as well as having the opportunity of making (and eating) their own pizzas.
