The Kingfishers performed their last assembly of the school year. The children were confident to stand up and perform to the audience. The children told the audience about what they enjoy learning at school, read Kingfisher’s Class ABC poem and sang ‘Oh I do like to be beside the seaside’ A great assembly Kingfishers.
The children enjoyed another ‘Forest Fun’ session with Mrs Clark, Mrs Martin and Miss Cousins. The children got changed into their outside clothes and headed out to the Forest Fun area. On Wednesday 21st June, a group of children represented our school in the netball county final. They played really well demonstrating good team spirit and skill. Thank you to Mrs Wyncoll and Mrs Allum for coaching and accompanying them to the tournaments.
Kingfishers Class were very excited as they had received a very important letter. Mrs Clark opened the envelope and read the letter from Thomas Claridge (Head of Royal Correspondence) who was writing on behalf of the King. The letter was thanking the children for sending congratulations cards for the King’s Coronation.
In Science we dissected a heart. The children had been learning about the heart in previous lessons so this really helped embed the learning. Some of them were really brave and used scalpels to cut into the chambers!
