Woodpeckers
The children created their own pitta pizzas in cooking club. They selected the toppings they wanted on their pizzas and got busy cutting, spreading and sprinkling. Great pizzas.
On Thursday, the Woodpeckers learned about the work of Eva Rothschild. They looked at different sculptures she had made and used her ideas of straight lines and shapes to make their own sculptures. The children enjoyed making biscuits this week in cooking club. The children worked together to weigh the ingredients, mix them altogether, roll out the dough and cut the dough into biscuit shapes. Great teamwork and lovely biscuits.
In PE, the Woodpeckers worked in teams to build their own obstacle courses. After school some of the Year One and Two children joined Miss Jones for games club. The children enjoyed playing different games. It was lovely to see the children taking turns and playing the games according to the rules.
On Thursday 1st October, seven children from the Woodpeckers class took part in an U7 Futsal Festival at Inspire Suffolk. They played 8 matches in total against 4 other schools: St Pancras, Shotley, The Oaks and Bucklesham.
